Mother Nature Approved OOH Media

In honor of Earth Day, here’s a quick introduction to several eco-friendly out of home media options that create impact without the footprint.

Recycling Kiosks:

Show a community support for their efforts to Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle by advertising on recycling kiosks.   Promote your message and a good cause all at once.

Pedicabs:

Advertise with the original no-emissions mode of transportation… bikes!  Pedicab advertising, also known as bicycle taxis or rickshaws, have a variety of ad options.  Standard signage, cab wraps and customized shapes are the most common forms.  You can also brand the drivers with t-shirts, hats, etc. and they can distribute brochures, coupons, samples, etc. to their passengers.

Bike Ads:

Brand a bike brigade!  Unlike pedicabs, with bike ads, you have control of exactly where the ads will be seen during the campaign.  But, just like pedicabs, there are a variety of customizable options.  And, you can brand the riders and they will distribute handouts and samples to people on the streets.

Chalk Art & Powerwashed Stencil Ads:

What’s fun about these eco-friendly ads is that your message or logo is literally on the streets of a market.  Chalk art ads are either drawn by professional artists or applied with a stencil. Powerwashed stencil ads, also referred to as reverse graffiti, are cleaned onto the streets or walls. Great for branding or for directing traffic to a specific location.

If you haven’t been thinking green in terms of your media campaigns, do it for your Mother Earth.  Utilizing eco-friendly media is not just about being trendy.  (Although, green is the new black.)  It’s really about innovation!

So, the next time you’re looking for a fresh approach to your media strategies.  Go green!
